Mikojan i Guriewicz MiG-21 U nb 2719.

193b Chapter 1965-05-18, Poland. A training and training aircraft intended for training pilots flying combat versions of MiG-21 aircraft.

The first training version was the MiG-21 66-400 aircraft. 6 copies were purchased and manufactured in Tbilisi at CCCP. The planes were delivered in May-June 1965. Then, 5 MiG-21 U aircraft of the 66-600 variant were purchased. The planes were purchased together with single-seat MiG-21 PFM planes. MiG-21 U (66-600) aircraft from version 400 are distinguished by an enlarged vertical tail and a braking parachute at its base. The planes were built at the CCCP plant in Moscow. The first plane arrived in Poland on July 8, 1966.

The MiG-21 U (66-600) nb 2719 aircraft, no. 662719, was the second copy to come to Poland. It was delivered on July 8, 1966. The aircraft was used in the 40th PLM, and then in the 1st PLM in Mińsk Mazowiecki, where it was until the end of service in December 1989. Then it went to Góraszka as an exhibit. Later it was donated to the Technology Museum in Rzeszów at the Rzeszów Główny railway station.
