MiG-21 U (66-400). Delivered in May-June 1965. 6 copies of the MiG-21 U version were purchased. The planes were built in Tbilisi. MiG-21 U: Introduction 1965: They were used, among others, in; CSL Modlin. 41. PLM Malbork. 26. PLM Zegrze Pomorskie. 10. PLM Łask. End of operation 1990.

1 MiG-21 U (66-400) 1217 / 161217. Delivered on June 29, 1965. Used in 40 PLM, 1 PLM. On February 17, 1990, he finished his service and was transferred to the museum in Czyżyny in 2002.

2 MiG-21 U (66-400) 1218 / 161218. Delivered on June 29, 1965. Used in 40 PLM, 1 PLM. On August 10, 1982, it was broken up.

3 MiG-21 U (66-400) 1219 / 161219. Delivered on May 19, 1965. Used in 41 PLM, 39 PLM, 40 PLM. On May 11, 1971, it had a collision with MiG-21 F-13 nb 0905?

4 MiG-21 U (66-400) 1220 / 161220. Delivered on May 18, 1965. Used in CSL, 39 PLM, 26 PLM. On November 7, 1969, transfers to 10 PLM in Łask. On June 14, 1978, the plane crashed.

5 MiG-21 U (66-400) 1317 / 161317. Delivered on June 4, 1965. Used in CSL, 1 PLM. On January 16, 1978, broken up.

6 MiG-21 U (66-400) 1318 / 161318. Delivered on June 4, 1965. Used in CSL, 1 PLM. On February 17, 1990, it ended its service and was transferred to the museum in Drzonów.

The last two MiG-21 U (66-400) were withdrawn from service in February 1990 and transferred to the museums in Czyżyny and Drzonów.

MiG-21 U (66-600) – Together with the MiG-21 PFM, 5 MiG-21 U (66-600) machines were purchased. It is distinguished from the 400 version by an enlarged vertical tail and a braking parachute at its base. The planes were built at a plant in Moscow. The first one went to PLM on July 8, 1966.

1 MiG-21 U (66-600) 2718 / 662718. Delivered on July 8, 1966. Used in 40 PLM. After leaving service in December 1989, it was brought to Savigny le Bes as an exhibit.

2 MiG-21 U (66-600) 2719 / 662719. Delivered on July 8, 1966. Used in 40 PLM, and then in 1 PLM in Mińsk Mazowiecki until the end of operation in December 1989. It came as an exhibit (nb 2420 – ?) to Góraszka. Then it went to the Technology Museum in Rzeszów at the Rzeszów Główny railway station.

3 MiG-21 U (66-600) 2720 / 662720. Delivered on August 13, 1966. Used in 40 PLM, 1 PLM. He ended his service in December 1989. Since 2012, in the Museum in Dęblin.

4 MiG-21 U (66-600) 3317 / 663317. Delivered on August 13, 1966. Used in 41 PLM, 1 PLM. He ended his service on February 17, 1990.

5 MiG-21 U (66-600) 3318 / 663318. Delivered on August 13, 1966. Used in 41 PLM. He ended his service on February 17, 1990.

MiG-21 US training versions.

MiG-21 US – The MiG-21 US version was purchased for training pilots of the newly purchased MiG-21 M version. In 1969, we received 3 pieces, and in 1970, 9 pieces. 12 pieces in total. The planes were built at the plant in Tbilisi. MiG-21 US: Introduction to service in 1969-1970. Used, among others, in: CSL Modlin. 41. PLM Malbork. 62. PLM Krzesiny, since 1971. 1. PLM Mińsk Mazowiecki, since 1989.

1 MiG-21 US 4007 / 07685140. Delivered on August 28, 1969. The first copy in Poland. After finishing his service, he went to Gatlinburg.

2 MiG-21 US 4010/10685140. Delivered in August 1969. After finishing his service in Krzesiny.

3 MiG-21 US 4101/01685141. Delivered in August 1969. After completing his service in Wanaka.

4 MiG-21 US 4401/01685144. Delivered in March 1970. Used in 62 PLM Krzesiny. After finishing his service, he was brought to the museum in Czyżyny in 2002.

15 MiG-21 UM 6510 U / 10695165. Delivered in 1972. The letter U was added to the number to avoid confusion with the PFM and MF versions. He served in 10 PLM. He ended his service in February 2002.

16 MiG-21 UM 7502 / 02695175. Delivered in 1973. He served the longest in Sochaczew in 32 PLR, where he ended his service. It was flown to Oleśnica and handed over to PZL Hydral in Wrocław (in Psie Pole). After serving as an exhibit in Wrocław.
