    On January 1, 2001, the 9th Regiment of Fighter Aircraft was transformed into the 24th Air Base (JW. 1133) and 9th Tactical Aviation Squadron. In 2002, it was decided to liquidate the base and squadron. MiG-21 bis planes were relayed to Krzesiny Airport. The base was demoulded on November 27, 2002.
