12th Air Base in Mirosławiec.
2000-2010
In the period 1984-1988, the 8th Fighter-Bomber Aviation Regiment in Mirosławiec received Su-22 M4 combat aircraft and Su-22 UM3K training and combat aircraft. In 1998, the Air Divisions were liquidated and in their place the 1st Tactical Aviation Brigade was established, which included: the 8th Fighter-Bomber Aviation Regiment in Mirosławiec and the 40th Fighter-Bomber Aviation Regiment in Świdwin.
The 12th Air Base in Mirosławiec (Unit 3299) was established on January 1, 2000. It included the following units: 8th Fighter-Bomber Aviation Regiment, 40th Supply Battalion, 42nd Signal Battalion. At the same time, the 8th Tactical Aviation Squadron was created as an air component (planes and flying personnel).
The 12th Base Day was set on September 4. This day was established by decision of the Minister of National Defense No. 239/MON of August 27, 2003. In 2008, the commemorative badge of the 12th Base was approved (decision No. 558/MON of December 17, 2008).
In 2009, the 1st Tactical Aviation Brigade was reformed into the 1st Tactical Aviation Wing. On December 31, 2010, the 12th Air Base was disbanded. All Su-22 combat aircraft were transferred to Świdwin Airport. On January 1, 2011, the 12th Airport Command was formed.

Piotr Tusza (April 2003 – September 2005), Col. M.Phil. Jerzy Piłat (September 2005 – January 23, 2008), colonel pil. MSc. Wojciech Pikuła (April 5, 2008 – May 5, 2010), part after. Lt. Col. Dipl. Zbigniew Wolewicz (May 5, 2010 – December 31, 2010).
Geographic coordinates of the 12th Air Base; 53°23′40.9200″N 16°04′59.1600″E. In the period 2000 – 2020, the base operated as Unit 3299. The 12th Air Base was a military unit whose tasks included securing the combat activities of the 8th Tactical Aviation Squadron, the aviation training process, and performing logistic tasks for the Army and Navy aviation.
