Bombardier Global Express.
Bombardier Global Express is a long-range business jet, “ultra-long-range” class, manufactured by the Canadian company Bombardier Aerospace, currently called Bombardier Aviation. It was designed for comfortable flight over very long distances, for example London – Singapore or New York – Tokyo. The maximum range exceeds 12,000 km.
In October 1991, the project was announced and the decision was made to implement it. The first flight was made on October 13, 1996. The first aircraft was introduced into service in July 1999. By 2006, over 150 units had been produced, and by 2018, 816 units had been built.
The Bombardier Global Express aircraft is equipped with two Rolls-Royce BR710 engines, with 2 × 14,750 lbf thrust. The aircraft’s range is 11,130 km. Cruising speed is Mach 0.85–0.88 (900–930 km/h). Maximum speed is Mach 0.89 (940 km/h). Operating ceiling is 51,000 ft (15,500 m). Cabin dimensions: Length 14.70 m. Width 2.49 m. Height 1.91 m. Volume 60 m3. Additional luggage with a volume of 5.5 m3. Number of passenger seats 12-19 people. The aircraft’s equipment depends on the customer. The cabin may have a lounge, work area, sleeping/rest area. Fully equipped kitchen. One or two toilets. Entertainment system; television, music tuner, WiFi on board, other. Advanced communication system. Comfortable interior. Cabin soundproofing. Avionics: Honeywell Primus 2000XP, EFIS (6 screens), autopilot, TCAS, EGPWS, HUD display. The aircraft has a high level of safety and relief for pilots. The aircraft is available in basic versions; Global 5000 / 6000 / 6500 / 7500 / 8000 – newer versions modernized in terms of engines, equipment, systems and range. The aircraft are used by; private owners, corporations, charter companies, governments and royal families. 60% of the aircraft built are used in the USA and 20% in Europe. The aircraft is classified as premium class. Bombardier Global Express is classified as one of the most comfortable private aircraft available in the exclusive segment. High flight altitude allows for almost any choice of flight route. Long range allows for significant fuel savings and the flight takes place without stopovers. The aircraft has a large service network around the world.
