In 2012, PLL LOT ordered small-size commercial planes Bombardier DHC-8-400. In total, the condition of Polish carriers: EuroLot, LOT Polish Airlines received 13 copies of these planes. The Bombardier DHC-8-400 planes in LOT Polish Airlines have 78 passenger seats. Currently (2021), the management of PLL LOT is considering withdrawing these aircraft from service.

In April 2017, the aircraft was acquired by Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) with registration OY-YBZ. Since June 2018, the aircraft has been used by PLL LOT, with the OY-YBZ registration.
