Aeroklub Nowotarski organizes various aviation events, including sightseeing flights. Sightseeing flights are performed by airplanes, motor gliders, gliders and hot air balloons.
On August 14, 2024, we had the opportunity to participate in a sightseeing flight in a Cessna C-182 P Skylane aircraft, registration SP-EDI, No. 18262697.
The Cessna C-182 aircraft is a four-seater, single-engine high-wing monoplane. It is a popular training aircraft. The Cessna 182 is offered under the name Skylane. The aircraft is the second most popular aircraft of the Cessna company after the Cessna 172. The 182 model has been produced since 1956, to the present (2024). There are versions with retractable landing gear; R182, TR182 and FR182. Subsequent modifications of the aircraft have enlarged windows, more powerful engines and gradually increased take-off weight and load capacity. Since 2005, Cessna has offered the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit as options. It was later introduced as standard. More than 23,000 units were produced.
