Celebration of the 79th anniversary of the death of Ignacy Kasprzyk - Senior Military Foreman.

In June 2016, the first patriotic and religious celebrations were held in Płoki near Trzebinia related to the 78th anniversary of the air death of the crew of the PZL-37 A Łoś aircraft, including senior military foreman Ignacy Kasprzyk, who was buried at the parish cemetery in Płoki near Krakow.
This year, on June 18, 2017, the second patriotic and religious celebrations were organized. They commemorated the 79th anniversary of the death of Ignacy Kasprzyk. The organizers were: the Historical Circle in Płoki, the Memoria Potocki Foundation and the Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Płoki, the Folkloristic Group "Płocanki", the Village Cultural Center in Płoki, the Circle of Pensioners and Pensioners No. 10. The celebrations were honored by the presence of councilors of the City of Trzebinia, Tomasz Piszczek and Stefan Adamczyk.
The celebrations began at 11:00 a.m. with Holy Mass. concelebrated by the Custos of the Sanctuary, the parish priest, Canon Piotr Miszczyk, and Father Piotr Iwanek.
After the Holy Mass, parish priest Piotr Miszczyk, accompanied by the organizers and participants, went to the cemetery. Flowers were placed on the grave of Ignacy Kasprzyk, candles were lit and prayers were said. Canon priest Piotr Miszczyk gave a short speech at the grave of Ignacy Kasprzyk. He thanked everyone involved in commemorating Ignacy Kasprzyk. Addressing children and young people, he emphasized the historical and educational role of the celebrations.
Then, all those interested went to the local Cultural Center in Płoki. Here you could see a thematic exhibition related to Ignacy Kasprzyk, a local hero. Then, the guests were invited to a refreshment with coffee, tea and tasty cake baked by local housewives.
Then, the initiator of the entire project, Mrs. Beata Grylowska, spoke. She thanked everyone involved in the organization. She especially thanked children and young people for their involvement in this year's celebrations. For them, the current celebrations are a living history lesson and an opportunity to awaken patriotism.
A short lecture on the figure of Ignacy Kasprzyk and the PZL-37 Łoś aircraft was given by Karol Placha. The speaker emphasized the novelty of the aircraft's design and its unique features. In several tasks he presented the professional and military career of Ignacy Kasprzyk. There is no doubt that the figure of Ignacy Kasprzyk arouses widespread interest in the local community and has become an opportunity to increase interest in history.
The organizers invite you to celebrate the 80th anniversary next year.
