Drzonów town.

The town of Drzonów is located in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, in the Zielona Góra County, in the Świdnica Commune. Drzonów is situated to the west of Zielona Góra, to the west, approximately 14 km. Access is provided by provincial road No. 279.

Until 1945, the village was located in the Zielona Góra County, Lower Silesia Province, in the German Empire. There was an Evangelical parish in the village. But stupid Germans, along with their brothers Moscales, on September 1, 1939, started the Second World War. The Germans, not only did not conquer any territories, but also lost some of their lands, which the dictator-Tsar Stalin gave to People's Poland in exchange for the captured Borderlands.

From Drzonów, the German population was deported to the future state of the GDR. On September 9, 1945, the village of Drzonów was settled by Poles from Eastern Małopolska (now Ukraine), who, in August 1945, had to leave their home village of Rychcice in the Drohobycki County. If they had not decided to go to the "Regained Territories", they would have been forced to accept the citizenship of the CCCP and deported deep into the barbarian country. The Poles understood it perfectly. Among others, about these Poles is the exhibition at the Lubin railway station.

Lubusz Military Museum.

The Lubuskie Military Museum derives from the Museum of the Lubuskie Region in Zielona Góra. Its history began after the takeover of the neglected palace in Drzonów in 1978. The palace needed to be renovated. The renovation included all elements of the building; roof, walls, floors, woodwork, installations. The entire adjoining area also had to be reclaimed. Adaptation and renovation works lasted until 1985. It was then that the facility was officially opened. The exhibits have been collected for many years. In 1978, the Iliuszyn Ił-28 bomber, the WSK PZL SM-2 helicopter and the T-34/85 medium tank were acquired.

The seat of the museum is located in a classicist palace located in the center of the village of Drzonów. The palace was designed in such a way that it has two representative facades. From the south, from the road, which welcomes the arriving guests and household members, and from the north, from the park, to please the guests and household members who are in the park. There are two dates in the facade of the palace: 1816 and 1868. The first of these dates is considered to be the date when the palace was built. In 1868, the reconstruction of the palace was completed, which was carried out by the new owner.

The palace is surrounded by a historic park with an area of approximately 4 hectares. There were also farm buildings, but they have not survived to the present day.

From September 1945, a school, flats for teachers and the office of the Commune Self-Help of Peasants were arranged in the palace. In 1973, the palace was taken over by the Museum of the Lubuskie Region in Zielona Góra in order to adapt it to the seat of the Archaeological Museum. In 1976, it was decided that the palace would be the seat of the Military Museum. Therefore, soon armor began to accumulate in the park. The facility has been operating independently since May 8, 1985, and since 2015, it has been a cultural institution of the City of Zielona Góra. The museum is entered in the State Museum Register. On April 16, 1986, the Lubuskie Military Museum in Drzonów was named after the 2nd Polish Army. Currently, this name is not used.

There are nearly 4,000 exhibits in the museum. There are collections of: heavy military equipment, military aviation, machine guns, firearms, white weapons, protective weapons, uniforms, equipment and equipment, decorations, documents, maps and photos. The museum's palace houses the following exhibitions: Old Arms, Polish Soldier 1914-1945, Women - Soldiers, Polish Army after 1945, Hunting Salon.

The park presents collections of artillery, rockets, tanks, armored personnel carriers, military cars and trucks, fighter and transport planes and helicopters. There is also an open-air fortification museum.
