Balice Airport
Airport development.
Every month, the Krakow airport breaks new records of checked in and received passengers. Flights to Bristol, Edinburgh and Valencia were very popular. Connections to many cities in Germany were also popular: to Berlin, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Munich and Dortmund. In August 2017, the Balice airport handled almost 542,000 passengers, i.e. 9% more than in August 2016. From the beginning of 2017 to the end of August 2017, Kraków Airport already served 3.8 million passengers. The number of take-offs and landings also increased. In the winter season 2017/2018, Krakow will offer as many as 89 connections, 24 more than in 2016/2017. All statistics indicate that Krakow is and will be attractive to carriers. Two airlines at Balice Airport are experiencing dynamic development. It is LOT Polish Airlines and Ryanair.
After years of disassembly of the Commonwealth, by the masonic-liberal governments of the Civic Platform and the Polish People’s Party, PLL LOT is experiencing incredible development. He buys, deals and leases further modern commercial machines. Opens new connections. She closed 2016 with a profit of PLN 300 million. The return of direct connections from Krakow to Chicago was a necessity awaited by passages for years. We were amused by the commentary of Polish-language media that "it was an unexpected surprise." On July 3, 2017, just before the first Boeing B.787 Dreamliner flight to Chicago, the president of Balice Airport Radosław Włoszek said – "The connection has enormous potential." The President of PLL LOT Rafał Milczarski said – "We decided to fight for the hearts of Poles, those overseas, but also in Lesser Poland, and having family and friends in the United States." And he was not wrong. In July 2017, i.e. in less than a month, over two thousand people used the connection. This means that over 90% of the seats in the aircraft were occupied. When liberals and freemasonry liquidated this merger, the occupancy rate was 86%. The connection is year-round, but only on Monday. We think that in 2018, it will be twice a week.
Next year (2018), Ryanair intends to increase the number of its aircraft in Europe to 600 (currently it has 400) and will handle 200 million passengers worldwide. From 1985, when the company was founded, to July 2017, Ryanair handled 1 billion passengers. The airline Ryanair announced a timetable from Krakow for the summer season of 2018. There will be 15 new connections from Krakow: Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Frankfurt, Glasgow, Goeteborg, Lisbon, Malmo, Marrakech, Marseille, Naples, Nuremberg, Prague, Seville and Tel Aviv. There will be 56 connections in total. Ryanair failed to launch connections from Krakow to Lviv and Kiev. There were problems in trade talks with the Ukrainian side. The average flight price on the Ryanair line is 41 euros. Ryanair will handle 3.5 million passengers from Krakow in 2018.
The cancellation of Ryanair’s image was overshadowed by the cancellations of some flights in September 2017 (supposedly 2% of the entire route network), including from Kraków. Apparently due to the lack of crews who were on holiday at the time. The departure of some pilots to other carriers was also a fact.
According to the president of the management board of Kraków Airport, Radosław Włoszek, a good connection network is the basis for tourism development.
