In recent years, the Air Force Institute of Technology has developed an advanced STRIKER UAV system, which is capable of precisely destroying moving and tangential targets, at a distance of up to 1,000 km. The system uses a WS-150 launcher. The system is highly mobile, which allows for the organization of a launch site in virtually every region of Poland. At the same time, the risk to own armed forces is minimized. The STRIKER UAV system provides accuracy up to 10 m CEP50 in the “fire-and-forget” mode and up to 3 m CEP50 in the visual guidance mode. The device can carry combat loads weighing up to 70 kg, which allows the system to be adapted to various tasks. The device is equipped with a large bomb bay. The maximum range is 1,000 km, which allows it to cover a significant area of potential armed conflict. The WS-150 launcher is equipped with a pneumatic launch system.

The device was built in a flying wing configuration, which minimizes the size of the radar echo, RCS. Winglets are mounted on the ends of the wings. The carried combat load is placed in the bomb bay. The device is built of three basic parts: a fuselage and two wings. The wings are dismantled for transport. The external casing is made of glass fiber, and the internal structure is based on carbon fiber. Thanks to this, the structure is lightweight, strong and durable. Simple design solutions were used, which has a positive effect on production and servicing. The STRIKER UAV system is equipped with advanced electronics that are resistant to external radio-electronic interference.

The drive is provided by a two-cylinder, 20 HP internal combustion engine powered by E95 unleaded petrol. The engine is equipped with a three-blade pusher propeller made of composites. Blades with a fixed wedge angle.

T-T BSP STRIKER data: Empty weight 60 kg. Maximum take-off weight 140-150 kg. Climb speed 2 m/s. Fuel reserve 30 kg. Fuel unleaded petrol E95. With a payload of 70 kg, the fuel reserve is 10 kg. Two-cylinder, 20 HP internal combustion engine. Wingspan 5.20 m. Maximum speed 50 m/s. Cruising speed 35 m/s. Maximum range 1,000 km (30 kg fuel, 40 kg payload, economic speed 30 m/s).

WS-150 launcher T-T data: Weight 2,700 kg. Launch track angle 10 degrees. Transport speed on roads 80 km/h. Launch preparation time 15 minutes. Time to launch of the second unit is 8 minutes. Outside temperature range -10 degrees Celsius to +40 degrees Celsius. Launcher length in working position 11.70 m. Launcher length in transport position 8.40 m. Width 1.60 m. Height in working position 2.90 m. Height in transport position 1.97 m.
