The 6th Air Base was formed on December 6, 1994. The basis for the creation of the military unit was the disassembly of the 4th Security Regiment, which served the Dęblin Airport. 6. BLot received JW number. 3823. In 2000, the unit received its own banner, which was funded by the Social Committee.

The main tasks of the 6th BLot were to provide logistical support for the operations of entities stationed within the base and to secure the operation of the 1st Aviation Training Center. Organizational 6th Air Base was subordinated to the WSOSP (Higher Officer School of the Air Force). In 2008, there were organizational changes and the 6th BLot became part of the 4th Training Aviation Wing. Due to the new structure of the Air Force and the merging of smaller units into larger organisms, the 6th BLot on December 31, 2010 was disbanded. The unit became one of the entities of the new military unit which became the 41st Training Aviation Base in Dęblin.
