Avions Marcel Dassault Rafale. 1986

History

Avions Marcel Dassault Rafale is a multipurpose combat aircraft, hard to detect. Work on the aircraft began at the beginning of the 1980s, when the French became interested in Stealth technology. The assumption was that the plane was to perform all aviation tasks performed by a combat plane. The plane turned out to be very expensive to buy, so until 2015, it entered service only with France and Egypt. The high price of the Avions Marcel Dassault Rafale aircraft and the unknown actual combat value of the aircraft were the reasons why the Polish Military Aviation was not interested in this aircraft (2003). In 2003, one Rafale plane, no training, no weapons, no spare parts; cost USD 70 million.

The layout of the Avions Marcel Dassault Rafale aircraft is typical of many aircraft designs of the late 70’s. Delta wing. The horizontal tail located at the front of the plane’s fuselage. Air intakes for engines located under the fuselage. Control system for control surfaces and electronic motors. Cabin made in technology; hands on the joystick and gas throttle engines. The sight placed on the pilot’s helmet (helmet). Radar tracking minimum 10 air targets, ground targets, terrain mapping. Fire and Forget Smart Missiles with a system. Twin-engine system, typical for sea planes. With one engine running, the plane won’t get the job done anyway, but it will return to the carrier.
