Construction.

The SH-2G is a helicopter built in the classic Sikorski layout. The structure is completely metal and has two turbine engines. The machine is designed to be based on ships.

The main rotor has 4 blades in the main rotor and the tail rotor. The main rotor blades are driven by servo motors instead of the swash plate. Second-generation composite main rotor blades (CMRB2) were mounted on the Super Seasprite, which includes filament-wound, S-glass rods, glass shells, aramid honeycomb cores and aramid trailing edges.

The cockpit. The SH-2G has a crew of three: two pilots and a sensor operator (SENSO). (USN: pilot, co-pilot / tactical coordinator (TACCO), sensor operator (SENSO)) (RNZN: helicopter pilot, observer and loadmaster). The helicopter can also be piloted by a single pilot and SENSO, thanks to a flexible Integrated Tactical Avionics System (ITAS) designed by Kamana and Northrop Grumman (formerly Litton) Guidance & Controls. ITAS is powered by dual mission data processors and uses two dual 1553B data buses to integrate sensors, weapons, communications, and navigation equipment.
