OKB Suchoj Su-22 M 4 K nb 3306.
269 Section 1984-05-05 year. Poland. Supersonic fighter-bomber with variable wing geometry.
The outbreak of the Second Cold War at the beginning of the 1980s forced the armament of the Warsaw Pact countries. In Poland, MiG-23 MF and, for financial reasons, MiG-21 bis aircraft were introduced into fighter aviation in limited numbers. However, the real rearmament took place in fighter-bomber (assault) aviation. Both qualitatively and quantitatively. We purchased Su-22 aircraft in two versions; single-seat Su-22 M 4 K and two-seat Su-22 M 3 K. In 1985, Poland received the first, 20 and 6 copies, respectively. In total, we bought 90 single-seat planes and 20 two-seat planes, which gave a total of 110 units, i.e. equipment for three air regiments and one squadron. Su-22 aircraft are still used in the Polish Air Force in limited numbers (2023).
Su-22 M 4 K 3306 / 30306 was manufactured in 1985. It was used in the 7th PLB-R, and later in the 7th ELT in Powidz. The renovation was carried out in Poland in 1997-06-02. In 2005, the plane was out of service at the airport in Mirosławiec. Then in Sosnowiec (since 2013).
Since 2013, the Su-22 nb 3306 aircraft has been stationed as a teaching aid in Sosnowiec, on the premises of the school complex (Technical and Secondary School Complex in Sosnowiec), at Jana Kilińskiego Street. Since September 2013, it has been used as a teaching aid in the profession of aircraft mechanic technician. The Complex of Technical and Secondary Schools from Sosnowiec has been providing education in the profession of aircraft mechanic technician since 2006. The plane was transported to Sosnowiec from Mirosławiec. The plane is clearly visible from Platform 2 at the Sosnowiec Główny station.
