OKB Tupolew Tu-134.<\/h3>\n

The Tupolew Tu-134 plane is the first passenger plane used in Poland with a turbojet drive. Tu-134 planes were operated in LOT Polish Airlines from November 15, 1968. The planes served European routes, flying mainly to the countries of Western Europe.<\/p>\n

The decision to purchase Tu-134 aircraft for PLL LOT by Poland was made in 1967, and it was included in the 1968 budget. At the beginning, a decision was made to purchase 5 machines of the Tu-134 type in the first export version with a glass nose. The first two planes were delivered to Poland in November 1968, and these were; Tu-134 no.8350602 SP-LGA Ignacy Paderewski and Tu-134 no.8350603 SP-LGB W\u0142adys\u0142aw Reymont. These were the first turbojet transport planes used in Poland. They were received very solemnly and were given proper names as well.<\/p>\n
