Air Show in Radom is the largest international air show of military and civil aircraft in Poland. They are always part of the Aviation Day celebrations. The first Air Show was organized in 1991 in Pozna\u0144 (\u0141awica Airport), then the shows took place in Gdynia, Bydgoszcz and D\u0119blin. Since 2000, the Air Show has been held at the Sadk\u00f3w airport in Radom, and since 2003, it is organized every two years.<\/p>\n The next 12th edition of the Air Show Radom 2011 promised to be, as usual, very impressive and in fact it was. It was carried out on August 27-28, 2011 (Saturday-Sunday), of course at the Radom-Sadk\u00f3w Airport. As usual, the organizers prepared themselves perfectly for this largest aviation event in the Republic of Poland, which was visited by approximately 180,000 people in two days. There were no problems with purchasing tickets (50 cash registers) and entering the airport. It is a huge logistic undertaking and the organizers have done it perfectly.<\/p>\n Importantly, the shows took place as planned and ended on August 28, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. The weather was good (perfect on Saturday), the spectators, and most of all the participants. Pilots, service and machinery. The atmosphere at the airport was excellent, and the audience often applauded the pilots even though they could not hear it. The frenzy reigned when the planes were taxiing around the DK in front of the spectators. All the guests who attended the shows had the pleasure of participating in this extraordinary show and the opportunity to admire the acrobatics performed by world-class pilots.<\/p>\n Representatives of 26 countries took part in the shows. 180 machines appeared in the air (planes, helicopters and one gyroplane). This is a kind of record in Radom. Another more than 50 machines were at the static and aviation industry exhibitions. Some of them were open to the public and there were long lines of people willing to do so.<\/p>\n The ceremonial opening of the shows took place at 12:00 (August 27, 2011) in the presence of the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Tomasz Siemoniak, Air Force Commander, Gen. Weapons. pil. Lech Majewski and the president of the city of Radom, Andrzej Koszowniak. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronis\u0142aw Komorowski. Fortunately, the speeches were short and very restrained, in this difficult period for the Republic of Poland. The event was organized by: the Polish Air Force, the City Hall in Radom, the Polish Aero Club, the SWAT Social and Cultural Association and Radom Airport S.A.<\/p>\n Both days of the shows were almost identical. Each day consisted of two blocks of air shows; block of Polish Aero Club 9; 00-11; 00 and military block 11; 15-18; 30.<\/p>\n The highlight of the shows was the flight of Polish military aircraft. First, a wedge of 7 TS-11 Iskra machines flew in the formation, drawing white and red streaks. More machines came in formations like arrowheads; 6 SW-4 Puszczyk, 3 M-28 Bryza, 1 C-130 Herkules with 2 C-295, 6 MiG-29, 6 Su-22, 6 F-16 Jastrz\u0105b helicopters.<\/p>\n The stars of the shows from the Polish side were the bands Orlik and Bia\u0142o-Czerwone Iskry. Both are well known in Poland and abroad.
