Museum exhibits require a restaurant. In 2019, the Polish Aviation Museum launched a project entitled "Comprehensive renovation of three unique Polish rotorcraft: SM-1, SM-2, B\u017b-1 GIL – stage 1: SM-2 helicopter". The task was carried out under the Program of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.<\/p>\n The SM-2 helicopter is one of the most valuable exhibits in the museum. After serving in state institutions, it was abandoned for many years. It gradually degraded. When it found its way to the museum in Krakow, it only received a new varnish coat. Its interior remained degraded.<\/p>\n In 2019, as part of the reconstruction, the PZL SM-2 helicopter received a new paint coating, similar to the previous one, but modeled on the surviving photographs. The biggest changes took place in the cabin. Old paints were removed and new ones were laid. The missing pieces of equipment were supplemented. Fixed upholstery and seat belts for the pilot’s seat and three passenger seats. The missing headliner was completed.<\/p>\n From February 2020, the PZL SM-2 helicopter has been made available to visitors.
