In practice, the maneuvering area includes the take-off area, detailing runways and taxiways. Runways and taxiways are the most characteristic features of the maneuvering area, though not the only ones.<\/p>\n<p>Some taxiways do not belong to the maneuvering area, and the plane (helicopter) does not move on them by itself, but is towed.
