Inside the figure eight, at the bottom, there is a drawing of the Brandenburg Gate referring to the participation in the battles for Berlin, and on the left side there are two Grunwald swords and the date of the unit’s combat baptism, which became its official holiday. On the right side there is a hussar wing. The authors of this emblem, designed in 1974, were Capt. drink Bogdan Dusza and Capt. drink Jerzy Siedlanowski. Despite several changes in the names of the Regiment and then the Squadron, the emblem of the unit has not changed.<\/p>\n
The squadron’s unofficial mascot is a wild boar. The animal, which can be reached, inhabits the surrounding forests near Miros\u0142awiec in large numbers. In the 2000s, a wild boar’s head was commonly painted on the front end of Su-22 aircraft.<\/p>\n
