The airport’s newest terminal was opened on June 1, 2012. Terminal No. 1 was marked, and during construction it was marked Terminal No. 3. Its construction took three years.<\/p>\n

Also in 2015, the Czech national carrier Czech Airlines announced the start of flights from \u0141\u00f3d\u017a. However, already in 2016, Czech Airlines withdrew. At that time, the largest number of charter flights from \u0141\u00f3d\u017a were to resorts in Greece. In 2017, Adria Airways withdrew from \u0141\u00f3d\u017a. Its routes were taken over by Lufthansa. At that time, Ryanair operated most dynamically, mainly operating flights to Great Britain. In 2019, Lufthansa suspended connections from \u0141\u00f3d\u017a. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ryanair suspended flights.<\/p>\n
On January 14, 2021, the vice-president of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, Mr. Adam Pustelnik, informed that due to the lack of support from the government, the City of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a intends to sell shares in the company – Port Lotniczy \u0141\u00f3d\u017a-Lublinek. The authorities of Lodz still need to obtain the consent of the councilors to get rid of the shares in the airport. The search for an investor has begun. The city of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a has a 95.5% stake in the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a airport. The share capital of the airport is PLN 354.8 million.<\/p>\n
