Jas\u0142o is a city in the south of Poland, in the Podkarpackie Voivodship, and is the capital of the Jas\u0142o County. Jas\u0142o received city rights in 1262, under Polish law. The city has an area of 36.52 km 2. The city has a large difference in elevation; from 225 m to 380 m above sea level. The population is 34,542 inhabitants (2020). The city office is located at Rynek 12, 38-200 Jas\u0142o.<\/p>\n Jas\u0142o is located in the foothills of the Low Beskids. This is where three rivers meet: Wis\u0142oka, Ropa and Jasio\u0142ka. Jas\u0142o is historically located in the Krakow land in Lesser Poland. The name Jas\u0142o is of Slavic origin and comes from the name of the river flowing through the city.<\/p>\n Two national roads run through Jas\u0142o: No. 28 and No. 73, and a provincial road: No. 992. Road No. 28: Zator – Wadowice – Nowy S\u0105cz – Gorlice – Biecz – Jas\u0142o (ring road) – Krosno – Sanok – Medyka. No. 73: Jas\u0142o – Pilzno – Tarn\u00f3w – D\u0105browa Tarnowska – Kielce – Wi\u015bni\u00f3wka. No. 992: Jas\u0142o – Nowy \u017bmigr\u00f3d – State Border.<\/p>\n The airport in Jas\u0142o is a relatively new facility, having been opened in 2013. The initiator, owner and manager of the airport is the Jas\u0142o Aviation Association "IKAR".<\/p>\n The helipad has been planned as a multifunctional one. Currently (2023) the airport is still under development, and plans are slowly being implemented. The airport is listed in the register of airstrips of the Civil Aviation Office.<\/p>\n RWY has a ground surface – grass. The elevation of RWY is 230 m above sea level. Dimensions RWY 400 m x 25 m, direction 80\/260. RWY is marked with white markers (edges).<\/p>\n The distance to the city center is approximately 2.5 km. There are meadows right next to the airport. There is an industrial zone near the airport and there are several workplaces. For aviators, the greatest threat is the nearby drainage ditch and electrical networks. The high-voltage line is parallel to the RWY at a distance of 150 meters from the edge of the runway. There are tall trees more than 150 m from the airport, and a 62 m high chimney 700 m from the south. National road No. 28 runs near the airport. The airfield has a 300 m southern AGL traffic circle. Radio 123.450MHz. A telephone notification is required prior to arrival.<\/p>\n The railway station in Jas\u0142o is one of the main railway junctions in Podkarpacie. The railway line No. 108 Str\u00f3\u017ce – Kro\u015bcienko runs through the station and the railway line No. 106 Jas\u0142o – Rzesz\u00f3w exits. There are also passenger stops in Jas\u0142o: Jas\u0142o Fabryczna and Jas\u0142o Nieg\u0142owice.<\/p>\n The railway station in Jas\u0142o was opened in 1884. All railway routes are single-track. Jas\u0142o station has electric traction. To the west, there is an electric traction to the Str\u00f3\u017ce station. To the east, the lines are electrified only to the Jas\u0142o Towarowe station. The routes to Rzesz\u00f3w and Zag\u00f3rze are not electrified.<\/p>\n In 2002, Jas\u0142o, like many other railway stations, was deprived of passenger trains. Fortunately, on December 14, 2014, passenger trains returned to Jas\u0142o. The first were the trains from Jas\u0142o to Rzesz\u00f3w. Long-distance trains are also back. These were PKP Intercity TLK "Monciak" trains, which is now called "Karpaty"; connections from Gdynia via Warsaw, Krak\u00f3w, Rzesz\u00f3w, Jas\u0142o to Zag\u00f3rze. In 2017, trains from Krak\u00f3w – Tran\u00f3w – Gryb\u00f3w – Jas\u0142o were launched. The route was served by EMU "Impuls". In 2018, the route Jas\u0142o – Zag\u00f3rz and Jas\u0142o – Rzesz\u00f3w began to be operated by SKPL, commissioned by PKP InterCity.<\/p>\n In February 2023, you can travel from Jas\u0142o with 9 trains to: K\u0142odzko – 1 TLK "Wetlina" train. Krak\u00f3w – 1 TLK "Bieszczady" train. Rzesz\u00f3w – 5 PolRegio trains. Zag\u00f3rz – 2 TLK "Bieszczady", "Wetlina". Trains on non-electrified routes are served by a diesel multiple unit SZT SN84 belonging to SKPL. Additional trains run during the holiday season. In 2019, the Jas\u0142o station served up to 150 passengers per year.<\/p>\n Railway line No. 106: Rzesz\u00f3w – Jas\u0142o, length 69.251 km. The line is single track. The line is not electrified, except for two ends: Rzesz\u00f3w G\u0142\u00f3wny – Rzesz\u00f3w Staroniwa and Jas\u0142o – Jas\u0142o Towarowe. Top speed 100 km\/h. It is planned to build a connecting road between Jedlicze and Szebnie, which will make it possible to bypass Jas\u0142o and significantly shorten the Krosno-Rzesz\u00f3w route.<\/p>\n Railway line No. 108 Str\u00f3\u017ce \u2013 Kro\u015bcienko. The line is single-track and has a length of 160.489 km. The Str\u00f3\u017ce – Jas\u0142o section is electrified. The maximum speed is 100 km\/h. The trail was opened in sections.
