The Gda\u0144sk R\u0119biechowo airport is one of the most important communication airports in Poland. The airport was opened in 1974.<\/p>\n

On November 18, 2010, Gda\u0144sk R\u0119biechowo airport handled two million passengers in one year for the first time. At that time (in the entire 2010) 2,232,000 travelers were handled, which was an increase by 16.8% compared to 2009. In 2011, 2,464,000 travelers were handled, which is an increase of 10% compared to 2010. 4,944 tons of goods were cleared. 34,400 air operations were performed. In 2011, 21 new connections were launched and six investments were put into operation.<\/p>\n
