This train stop is located in the Sidziny estate in Krakow, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The railway track divides the Sidzina housing estate into the southern and northern parts. The main street connects both parts of the estate through a railway crossing equipped with dams. A railway stop was built at this crossing, which was opened in 1947. The name of the street from the north is Mieczysław Wrona, and the name from the south is Adam Prażmowski. The railroad crossing was equipped with barriers from the very beginning. The dams were served by a branch post about 3 km to the east at the railway crossing on Zygmunta Radnickego Street. At this point, a siding departed from the trail to the Austrian barracks and the hospital in Kobierzyn (now the hospital named after Dr. Babinski). The siding was liquidated in the 1980s. The control of the railway crossing in Sidzina has been moved to the control room in Skawina. On the other side of the stop, on the eastern side, along Chlebnicza Street, there is also a railway crossing, without dams, but with traffic lights.
The Kraków Sidzina railway station was equipped with two single-edge platforms, 300 m long. The height of the platforms was 0.30 m. Over time, two sheds were set up on the platforms to protect passengers against rain and snow. Rubbish bins are set up. The surface of the platforms was paved with gravel. In the 80s, the platforms were equipped with lanterns. In 2017, the stop served up to 50 passengers a day.
In 2017, the railway route No. 94 was modernized. At the same time, it was decided to renovate the Kraków Sidzina passenger stop. The cost of the renovation was estimated at PLN 3.5 million. The stop consists of two single-edge platforms, the so-called high ones. The height of the platform from the head of the rail is 0.60 m. On the north side there is Platform 1, and on the south side there is Platform 2. Each platform is 200 m long and 4.50 m wide. display-case information boards, litter bins, lighting and a sound system for railway information. Information is provided not only about passenger trains, but also about transit trains that pass the stop at speeds of up to 160 km / h. The surface of the platforms near the edge is made in anti-slip technology. The surface of the platforms has been equipped with white communication paths and yellow safety lines, also for the blind. From the outside, the platforms have a fixed fence 1.20 m high, made of wire panels. After the modernization, the stop was launched in September 2021.
