It is the third time that the Polish Air Force has participated in the defense of the airspace of the Baltic states belonging to NATO; Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Most of the Catholic-national right. A total of 96 people. They were traveling to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre.

For this reason, "Misja Orlik 3" was not noticed in the press. Even this aviation press did not write about this important task. In addition, rumors were that for the first time Polish Hawks would take part in this mission. The most dangerous weapon against our potential enemy, which is the Kremlin. However, this did not happen. The service was honored for the second time by the 1st ELT Mińsk Mazowiecki. The training of the personnel assigned to perform the service took place on April 6-15, 2010, on the premises of the 23rd BLot in Mińsk Mazowiecki. The final stage of the training was the certification exercise for the JASTRĄB 10 contingent, headed by the Air Force Chief of Training, Maj. Gen. pil. Anatol Chaban. Exercise, controlled by a team of officers from the Operational Command and Air Force Command from Maj. Gen. pil. Sławomir Dyganowski at the helm, was to check the flying and security personnel as well as the communication command systems before transferring the contingent from the Air Force Command to the NATO Armed Forces Operational Command responsible for all missions carried out by the Polish Army abroad. During the exercise, a number of episodes were carried out, including those related to the actual interception of airspace violators by pilots of the QRA duty pair on MiG-29 aircraft.

Preparation for the mission.

This "Orlik 3 Mission", as well as the previous ones, was carried out as part of Air Policing and the base was Saiulai Airport (Siauliai). The period from April 30, 2010 to August 31, 2010. The commander of the Polish unit was Lt. Col. Robert Kozak.
