PZL Rzeszów is one of the largest companies in the aviation industry in the Republic of Poland. The establishment of the company producing aircraft engines in Rzeszów dates back to 1937, i.e. during the heyday of the Second Polish Republic. The company built piston and turbine aircraft engines for combat aircraft, transport aircraft and helicopters. In 2002, the company was sold and now produces components for the aerospace industry.
