Radom Sadków Airport has geographic coordinates; 51 degrees 23 minutes 19 seconds N (51.388N), 21 degrees 12 minutes 41 seconds E (21.212E). The airport is located at an altitude of 186 m above sea level. It is located 3.5 km from the center of Radom, in the south-eastern direction. Together with the infrastructure, it covers an area of 371 ha.

The airport is operationally managed from 07:30 to 15:30. Radio communication – Radom INFO 128.500 MHz. The NDB military landing system operates at the airport. The first beacon is 4,015 m ahead of the FM THR 25 threshold. The second is 1,105 m ahead of the FM THR 25 threshold. The main landing direction is heading 25 and it is practically clear of buildings. There is a military weather station at the airport. The airport has no customs services. Medical coverage is only during operational management. Refueling requires agreement with the Polish Army (JW. 3463). Fuel Type; Jet A-1. There are two road tankers at your disposal; 21,000 liters and 7,500 liters. It is not possible to hangar and carry out repairs for civilian ships. The airport has a Post Office. Military fire protection in accordance with ICAO category V civil conditions. The airport has equipment to maintain RWY and DK in proper condition in the form of; two sweepers, two snow blowers and two snow plows. Maintenance order; first DS ( RWY ), then the main DK ( TWY ) and the others. Noise standards and protection zones have not yet been introduced for the airport.

RWY. 2013 year.

The runway (DS – RWY) of the airport has dimensions of 2000 m x 60 m. It is located in the direction 07/25. Potentially, there is a possibility of extending it to the east by 500 m and to the west by 200 m. The RWY pavement in the central part is bituminous; ends 200 m and 230 m concrete. The safety belt with dimensions of 2,500 m x 285 m is located asymmetrically in relation to RWY. RWY is equipped with lighting and signs. surface load capacity; PCN 59/R/B/W/T asphalt concrete ASPH/CONC. The runway has no civilian lighting. Military navigational lighting system on the main approach (25), edge lights spaced every 100 m, and high-altitude and circling radar (RSL).

Taxiways. 2013 year.

The main parallel taxiway, 14 m wide, and other maneuvering routes were comprehensively modernized in 1999-2000 (bituminous surface). Asphalt-concrete with a load capacity of PCN 26/R/B/X/T. Identification signs of parking places, guide lines and other signs – in accordance with the military marking, horizontal yellow.

Aircraft Standing Planes (PPS). Radom – Sadków airport has four PPS (one after the liquidated hangar) and three planes in front of the hangars. Currently (2013) there are three hangars at the airport. Each of them with the same construction. Each with an area of 5,000 square meters together with facilities.

Other facilities at the airport in Radom.

The airport has a good road connection with the National Roads No. 9, No. 12 and the Provincial Road No. 737. The airport also has a railway siding connecting with the Radom railway junction. There is a large building of Aviation Workshops in the area. The military base has a recently modernized Infirmary with 20 beds. There are catering facilities, conference rooms and specialized lecture halls. There are recreational facilities; sports hall, swimming pool and others. There is a Military Airport Guard with a large fire station in the area. The fire station has a tower for firemen’s exercises. The depot has three positions for combat vehicles. The Guard has several combat cars. Among them is a car with a water container on a four-axle Renault chassis.

The airport area has an active network of sewage and rainwater drainage systems. The runway (RWY) and maneuvering roads are drained by a drainage network. Rainwater is discharged from the entire airport by means of a collector with a diameter of Fi 600. Sewage is discharged through collectors Fi 300 and Fi 400. The entire complex has a heating system, modernized in 1995-2000, powered from the municipal network (collector Fi 250). The Fi 200 water supply network is coupled with the municipal network. The airport’s technical facilities are connected to the gas network via a Fi 200 cable. The airport complex has a double-sided power supply with medium voltage cables and its own emergency power supply.

There are two MPS depots at the Radom airport. The older one with a capacity of 2,400 cubic meters and the new one with a capacity of 2,600 cubic meters. The new MPS is equipped with CCTV, fume traps and a modern fire protection system.
